In Xbox Madden 10, Snap the Ball, along with your Rival’s Bones

If learning about all the new stuff still hasn't made you excited about Xbox Madden 10, then maybe a visit to video gaming's not-so-distant past can put things into perspective. On one hand, it's probably not too cool to say Xbox Madden 10 is great, just because it stands out next to crap from 30 years ago. But it helps to see how much progress has been made in football video games, by taking a glance at the earliest video games and comparing them to Xbox Madden 10. From day one, football video games were what the original hardcore gamers wanted, back when the video game consoles were taking their first "baby steps" in the world. But the catch was, the power of the early video game consoles didn't exactly equal the imaginations and desires of those early hardcore gamers, so everyone had to settle for less. If you've ever seen old ads for this one, the creators truly believed that it had "all the excitement" of the real deal.

The characters on the gridiron are more suited to a sci-fi shooter than a football video game. Rough, but true. And if the picture has you cringing, you can only imagine what the gameplay is like. From a technological standpoint, things were so basic, that multiple players moving at once meant that the only thing extreme about this game was the flickering of the players. Audio was as awful as the video. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. Soon, the first round of the console wars would begin, and the competition created a football video game of their own. They definitely took the ball and ran with this one, giving gamers better gameplay, visuals, and sound. It wasn't there yet, though. While it did tantalize the video game world with its improvements, it was still only a slight move in the right direction. It would take a few more years before anything like that took place. Technology had caught up, albeit slightly, to gamers' football desires, to the point where this game has taken on an iconic status for gamers today. For quite a while, this was considered the greatest football video game by the video game world. Can't argue with the fact that the hardcore gamers did take to this one - for the first time, the NFL got the red-carpet treatment from a football video game. This was the ultimate step up in football video games for a long time, so gamers really proclaimed this one the best football game out there, year after year. Today, there's even a new incarnation of the game, and with that is a renewed reverence for it. While worthy of praise, it still trails in the distance from Xbox Madden 10. It's always great to see how far we, and football video games, have come. Guess it's a waste of time to do too much putting down of the other, less sophisticated football video games. You've gotten the point. You have to start somewhere, and those other games did - and Xbox Madden 10 would have never been possible if it weren't for those older football video games. Hardcore gamers have every reason to be fired up - Xbox Madden 10 really is the winning touchdown. The fans aren't the only ones raving about Xbox Madden 10 - the critics have said their piece, and they're into it. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. Xbox Madden 10 is another monster hit for EA Sports, though we think you could predict that one.

Don't let the naysayers shape your opinion - Xbox Madden 10 is a game for the ages. Xbox Madden 10 isn't just a great Xbox sports video game - it's an all-around great Xbox video game. It's the favorite of hardcore gamers, and with good cause. If you're really ready to show your stuff, you can separate yourself from the pack and face off for big bucks.

Now, Xbox Madden 10 fanatics can throw down the gauntlet and play video games for money. Once you've reached your apex of acumen, you'll be the one scoring big - and filling up your wallet in the process.
